Good clean equipment and friendly staff
I am from St. Louis, and we have very high quality gyms in the area. I have never been treated this poorly in either of the gyms I use in St. Louis, and I plan to tell everyone I know at the Lake of the Ozarks that this is the worst gym in the area.

I am incredibly displeased with the service I received as I was trying to cancel my membership. When I started my membership less than a year ago, I knew I would be moving before the full year was up. I was told that I would be able to cancel my membership before the full year was up, and I would just have to pay a $50 fee. However, when I went in today to cancel, I was told that I needed to show proof that I was moving. I do not have any proof that I am moving, and this is the most ridiculous policy I have ever heard of. The employee informed me that if I didn't have proof of moving, then I would not be able to cancel. I then informed her that, in that case, my reason for leaving is because I do not like the gym. She even tried to get me to come back later to cancel my membership. Eventually, I was able to talk to the manager on the phone who basically told me the same deal but eventually, unhappily, let me cancel my membership when I informed her I would be writing a terrible review of her gym.
Great gym! The crowd I experienced was pleasant and there were always machines of all types available. I visited with a one-day guest pass.
Not only am I unhappy with this experience cancelling, but I am also unhappy with the quality of the gym. There are very few fitness classes, barely any ellipticals, and the ceiling looks as though it is constantly leaking. I do not feel that the membership cost is even slightly worth what you get in return.
