For quite some time we assumed there were no decent Chinese, Asian cuisine restaurants worth visiting at the lake. Decided to give Zen a try and very glad we did. Immediately upon entering we were greeted with a warm and welcoming hello from Hunter our waitress. We found the food exceeded our expectations. Served within a reasonable time, hot and favorable. The restaurant interior quite comfortable, clean and seating properly arranged. Not sure how we're just now discovering this place but we're definitely returning.

Warm and welcoming server. Food is hot and delicious. Some flavors are a bit different than other traditional Asian restaurants but very tasty - that is the only reason for the 4 star. So glad we found this place at the lake. Looking forward to returning next time we are here. Try it. You'll be glad you did.
All in all the dinner was fine, I just wanted a little more wow to my dish. I'd say try it and judge for yourself.

We went around 2pm. While it wasnt super busy there was only one person busing and waiting on people but she did a great job. Egg drop soup was great and the fried calimari was different than I was expecting. I had the Happy Family dish which was pretty good. Nice fresh vegetables in it and scallops and shrimp were good in it. My husband doesn't like Chinese food because it tends to be too sweet for him and he had a hard time finding something not so sweet. Overall, I give it a 3-4 star rating.
