It's really a great location the cabins are nice and clean and modern. All cabins have all stock kitchens. Really have a good time we go here quite a bit at least once a year

Our kitchen was good, but the cabin next door where my brother-in-law was had a much newer update. Our refrigerator was marginal, which was an issue trying to keep our food supplies for 5 people safe. It wasn't keeping the proper temperature, and the management acknowledged this problem, but obviously couldn't instantly resolve it, and we understood. And as someone else mentioned, there aren't enough towels stocked in the cabins. We were constantly doing laundry (which is handily right in the cabin) which was a bit of a chore.
A great place to stay with nice views of the lake. The units are 6 sided buildings on the hillside of The Lake of The Ozarks with a basement room, a large main level room with king size bed, and a loft with bed and half bath.
This area is generally quite in the off season and especially beautiful in early November with the change in leaf color. The club house has a pool (closed in fall/winter). They also have a boat dock and covered boat slips and paddle boats are for rent.
I give this place 5-stars for many reasons, but for a few things I would have to stop at a 4-star, which isn't that much. Our first time at this resort, and it is in a fantastic spot on a cove that keeps the area nice and quiet. We rented a boat locally, and they delivered it right to our dock. The rooms are spacious, and I think there is ongoing updating in process most all the time.
Staying at Holiday Shores has been amazing. The little cabins are so nice and roomy. We have had a great experience staying here. Close to everything and a great place to swim right there in the resort. We will definitely be back.
Overall though a good experience, the lake is absolutely HUGE. I would highly recommend going early in the week to take advantage of the reduced lake traffic, because once the weekend happens its wall to wall boats, and you really have to be careful navigating to avoid others!
