Thus is one of the best well kept hotels I've ever been to. I'm here just about every other and have come to enjoy and love this hotel. One of my favorite things about this place is how much there actually is to do here. There's a hot tub , an exercise room, and even an game room. On top of that the staff customer service is exceptional. Chris the doorman is my favorite
We stay here every year for a week in December. The only reason we do is because it's convenient. This December was definitely the last! The front desk staff is very friendly. Not for sure who the owner is but this place is trash. Filthy stinky and falling in all around. This place needs to be shut down or bought by someone who cares. And to make things worse BEDBUGS, I was told they were carpet mites Uh no they are BED BUGS before I could even go home I had to take all of our clothes to the laundromat so they could be washed and high heat dried. We had bites all over us! I'm sure my home will need to be treated cannot take a year chances. The bathroom ceiling was falling in and tub toilet had hair all over it. The owner obviously does not care I highly would recommend finding another place to stay. My guess is the only reason it was voted #1 resort is because no competition at a budget rate that offer such amenities. Not worth the stay! My money will be spent elsewhere from now on. Bye bye to the dirty bug infested Inn.
Friendly and helpful staff. The views of the lake are great. I would stay here again. The game room was a little dated. Overall it was a good place for a quick weekend getaway.
The only downside really is that the wife and I splurged a little to make a weekend of new years eve for our anniversary (Jan 1st), and the best part about this hotel is the pool sized indoor hot tub, as we have guested here before. Well guess what was out of order for the weekend? That's right, the hot tub.
Rooms may be a little dated, but for the cost of a room a night...who can argue? Great staff, flexible, lake views, and free docking if you have your boat with you. Worked awesome. Unloaded luggage out front, checked in....staff took luggage to room as I dropped the boat in the water and pulled around to the dock. For the 55 or 60 we paid a night, you won't find a better deal. Will be staying again.
However, the beds were comfortable if a bit lean on pillows, and the room came with a mini fridge and microwave. The view is excellent, overlooking the lake, and you can even see the outdoor pool, even if it's closed for the season. Idk if anyone else likes it, but there's also a nice leather arm chair and my personal favorite, an office chair that spins exceptionally well (not ashamed to admit I thoroughly tested this), and a coffee maker. They don't do breakfast though, so be prepared to go out and spend a bit at a local restaurant or diner.
