So to remove a lift – ship it 40 miles – reinstall it = $610

To move one back 2 1/2 ft, replace 4 bolts = $713

you be the judge….

Called David Markovitz to have my 6000lb Galvalift looked at because it was leaking. He called me back right away, and said it was a few gasket seals leaking...easy fix, and that he would adjust our bunks at the same time and put on new arm hardware. When I recieved the bill of $486.44, I paid it the same day. I found out 2 days later from a neighbor that the lift was still leaking. Took me 2-1/2 weeks to get ahold of David again. The receptionist said..."I'll give him the message again." After 5 phone calls and an email explaining I would turn them into the Better Business Burea, I recieved an email back saying "sorry...I thought the guys went back to finish the job." After he sent his crew to check on it again, I received a message that the remote system would need to be replaced. Remote System? This lift had no remote system? They looked at the wrong lift and lift box....very different lifts and wells. one being 20 ft well with a galvalift....and the other 36 ft. well being a polylift with a remote system. They had NO CLUE....and were about to charge me for a new control box that did not need any work at all...in fact its 3 years NEW. Now after 3 more emails to David....I am getting no response for the past week. I'll do everything in my power to make sure people know about their business practices....starting with the Better Business Bureau.

2 months after the adjustment was made to my existing lift - the bill came! It cost me $385 to adjust a lift (they moved it back 2'-6”) and while they were there I got a phone call saying i needed the arm bolts replaced so I said ok do the work as they were out there working - that was another $317.00 for 4 bolts (I found out when billed).

Awful, don't do business with. Very unresponsive, called multiple times to have lift bunks adjusted. David always responds that he or his guys are on it and he'll call back. Then he never does. Also did a trade where he took an old blower motor in exchange for installing drive on waverunner lift. Took the blower motor, never installed the lift to my dock. Wouldn't trust to get things done, get them done right, or to bill properly

They were real nice, over the phone,

They moved a lift for me 40 miles up the lake and installed it for $610 through Dock Reality. If your having one moved, I would say agree to price up front (which i think Dock Reality did) just don't have them do anything extra on the dock - I thought it would be cheaper as they were already there which was a big mistake on my part….

I hired the Boat Lift and Marine Center to install a personal watercraft lift at my parent's condo at the Lake of the Ozarks. When I dropped the lift off at the company's office, I left written and verbal instructions on the correct dock location and where the lift needed to be installed. After explaining, I also told them if they had any questions to call me at anytime, and I would be happy to walk them through the dock location on the phone. When the job was completed, I learned they had installed the lift in the wrong location (it wasn't even in a personal watercraft slip but rather a boat slip). After several phone calls, I was able to eventually have the company move the lift to the correct location but was left with a damaged dock (the spot where the company had originally installed the lift) and a bill for moving the lift. When I originally called to have the company move the lift, I had asked if moving the lift was going to add to my original bill for the initial installation and was told no. I do not understand how a professional dock company can mess up installing a personal watercraft lift in a slip that is clearly not meant for it. I would have thought a few red flags would have arose and triggered an attempt to call and verify the slip information. I do not feel as if it is my fault for the company's failure to double check their work and make sure it is done correctly. Especially since I encouraged them to call me if they had any questions. Since receiving the additional bill, I have repeatedly called their office and have tried to straighten out the issue but have been told no one is available to take my call. I have left multiple messages and have yet to receive a return phone call. I reached out to the BBB and they also were not able to get in contact with the business either. I am not sure what my options are, but I do not believe it is right for me to pay for their mistake. These fraudulent business procedures are not right, and I do not want it to happen to anyone else. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! THEY ARE A FRAUDULENT BUSINESS!!!!!!
