Edit : So after posting this review, this bozo leaves me a violent message on my phone where he insults me personally, calling me a punk, and cursing at me. I've contacted the better business bureau, and they have been alarmed. Do not do business with this man.
Charged me $300 dollars for 20 gallons of gas and just more questions.. Told me it would cost $800 dollars to install a new part when in reality it only costed me $40 somewhere else. I explained to him my car had trouble starting in the heat and so he put my car in the garage so that it would start and called it done. In reality, the main relay was the problem and I got it fixed elsewhere. Maybe they made a mistake, but when it's my money, I don't pay for mistakes.
Very good auto shop. I have used this shop often and have always received honest, fair, thorough service. Steve knows what he is doing and is totally honest with the customer. 5 stars
His sign reads, “We fix what others can’t”. This proclaims that others have enjoyed the same experience that I recently had. My car had multiple issues that 2 other reputable but less able repair clinics had either miss-diagnosed or missed altogether. Steve’s methodology of diving deep into the matter until he understands the problem is unparalleled. He then not only explains the problem but shows you the parts at the cause of it. Also, he is unmatched at his willingness to stand behind his work. This results in you driving away in a car that has its problems resolved and your mind is at ease. In my 45 years of driving experience I have finally finished searching for a highly qualified technician. Steve is the mechanic’s mechanic.
Choosing a mechanic is a lot like choosing a family doctor...you want to find someone who is honest, will tell you the straight story, and won't use their superior knowledge to buffalo you into treatments you don't need. Gerbig's is like that. Like a beloved family member, our Dodge Magnum is getting a little long in the tooth and beginning to display the creaks and groans of old age. Steve has been wonderful about diagnosing the problems and coming up with procedures to help keep the patient alive without draining the bank account, since "auto health insurance" isn't really an option for a 10 year old car. (Not even a version of "Obamacare For Cars"). We're new to the area and we're glad we found Gerbig's.
